Vogue June 2010

Is a stunning issue. Stunning. You know the saying, It's what inside that counts that is Vogue, but with an amazing cover too. For once you should judge a book by its cover as inside it's always better than you could imagine.

I am not one to keep their magazines in pristine condition, as much as I want to and believe a copy of Vogue deserves to be handled with care & delicacy, I carry it everywhere. When travelling to work on the bus or by train, I get lost into the world of couture to the point where most days I almost miss my stop. It travels to my girlfriend's houses where we sit and gossip over a cup of tea and wish how we were modelling for/owned the clothes by/writing for/styling/editing Vogue. It goes with me when I shop to gain inspiration for my newest purchases. By the end of the month, it is tattered around the edges and a little coffee stained but it is valued, honoured and made the most of. I see some copies still in the same condition as when it was delivered and they look unread. To me, that's just not right. If you were to ever open a copy of one of my magazines some may be shocked as half the pages are torn or ripped out completely. Why? Because whatever advert I see that catches my eye or a piece about the latest trends, doesn't deserve to be left in a magazine, it deserves to be on the wall for all to see and admire on display.I have thousands of cut out pages & extracts and now a further twenty have been added to the collection.

This month I loved the piece on THE fashion shows to attend, Super Styling and Chloe Fox's move to Bali made me consider moving away to a tropical paradise myself, the article on Metro Chic Olivia Palermo (I am so unbelievably jealous of her wardrobe) and Man About Town with Keith McNally was a joy to read not to mention the shoot in Cuba and the Constance Jabonski shoot. I don't remember the last time I thoroughly enjoyed nearly every page of a magazine. Congrats Vogue team, once again you've nailed it.
